Owner & Math Tutor
Julie
Qualification: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from U.W.

Julie has been tutoring Math for six years. Julie recognizes that not all students learn in the same way and is adept at modifying her approach to suit the student’s specific needs, from those who are struggling with the subject to those who are taking advanced courses. Julie’s approach is to present different techniques for solving a problem and let the kids choose the one they prefer. Students who initially disliked math start liking it and advancing as their skills improve.

“I’ve always enjoyed math, and that’s what I want to instill in kids; I want them to enjoy it too. Teaching has been the most fulfilling job imaginable. Most kids tell me that they look forward to their session even if math isn’t their favorite subject. That’s amazing to hear!”
